| See screenshot: http://engineering.jhu.edu/~jeff/opera_problem/ It seems that the UI parts of Opera are choosing a non-readable font to display. How is Opera deciding to use this useless font is beyond me. Anyone know how to fix it? Ironically, I can't even fix it by using the preferences in Opera because everything is written in that illegible font and I can't even tell what prefs page I am on. Stats: MEPIS Linux 3.4-rc1 KDE 3.4 Opera 8.51 static "other" Deb package If I use a linked opera build, will that help? How is Opera deciding to use this useless font is beyond me. I've fixed it. I deleted my ~/.opera directory which was left over from an old Opera installation. Problem is pretty much gone. I say "pretty much" because now the UI fonts are mostly fine except the application menus ("File" Edit" etc.) are teensy-tiny. But legible, yes. Now, how do I automatically add Opera to my KDE menu? And I do mean automatically. Why didn't Opera add itself to my KDE menu? later.. -- JDS | jeffrey@example.invalid | http://www.newtnotes.com DJMBS | http://newtnotes.com/doctor-jeff-master-brainsurgeon/ |
