I am using Fedora Core 3 2.6.10-1.770 and KDE 3.3.1-2.9.FC3 Red Hat.
I used KDE's control center->administrative mode->Font installer to correct
the xfs error message "ignoring font path
element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo (unreadable)
" that appears in /var/log/messages.

While in Font installer, I found the folder with Speedo and selected add
font. Now, there are more xfs error messages that before
in /var/log/messages:

ignoring font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo (unreadable)
ignoring font path element /usr/local/share/fonts (unreadable)
ignoring font path element /usr/share/fonts (unreadable)
ignoring font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts (unreadable)
ignoring font path element /usr/share/fonts/default (unreadable)
ignoring font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/local (unreadable)
ignoring font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/OTF (unreadable)
ignoring font path element /usr/local/share/fonts/Speedo (unreadable)

These paths do exist, appears in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fs/config
and are worldwide readable. How do I re-associate these font dirs with xfs?

Thanks
