Association - gnometerminal + a directory [bug 102173]
Hi,
I wanted to have option to open directories in terminal, so I added
gnome-termainal and checked [x] remember association.
It was a bad idea, since now _everywhere_ in damn KDE when I click a folder
it tryies to open in console, in example I open a /home/ in the file
browser (how it is called? it is the konqueror right?) and when I click a
directory to enter it, then it opens itself in damn gnometerminal.
There should be an option for that. IMHO, i should be as in Gnome - all
types of files should have options:
Default action: ( ) application[....] [ ]in term. (*)open in same program
Possible other applications: to open this filetype with.

Its not a damn bug. Please dont create more work for already overworked
bug-fixers by polluting the bug database just because you havent bothered
to read your docs or even look at the applications properly.
In Konqueror to open a folder in a terminal you just press F4. You can also
open an embedded terminal that follows the folders you click on by going to
the "Window" menu and choosing "Show terminal emulator"
If you right-click on a folder you can choose "Actions- Open Terminal Here"
Browsing your file tree with the konqueror and panel 'Quik-Browsers" also
let you open any folder either in konqueror or in a terminal.
Wow! How many different ways of doing it do you want? Just because Gnome
does something different does not mean kde has a bug!!!

And in Krusader or other programs? I would like in general to give
directiories option to open in gnome-terminal. There was already such
option for FileLight.
But adding gnome-terminal permanently caused it to be the *default* action,
and that is the problem? How change the default action back?

And how to fix the current situation - clicking a folder in konqueror opens
it in terminal, I have no way to open it "normaly".

Control Center->KDE Components->File Associations->select
"Inode"->directory->Application preference order->put konqueror
on first place.
To answer your origanal question: If you put gnome-terminal as
second option in "Application preference order" it should appear
in the "Open with" context menu.
