Or another possibility is that the POP3 server doesn't *update* its=20
internal cache unless you reconnect. Or, even simpler: while there is one=20
connection open, the mailbox is locked, so no updates make in.

Try issuing the command from a "telnet" session to make sure that you're=20
seeing the updates.
