KPanelApplet using pyKDE

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any way to make KDE Panel Applets using pyKDE without using C++. I have made a small window using the KPanelApplet class in the kdeui lib. But it is not showing up in the taskbar of kicker. Can I get any help in this matter. Can I have a look at some example that impliments KPanelApplet using pyKDE.
