  1. About aliases, log mail redirecting for various purposes

First of all thanks in advance and excuse my english.

A few weeks ago I asked how to forward the mails from my hp-ux root
to my mail, so editing /etc/aliases worked

    vi /etc/aliases
add or change the line like this
root:..what ever is already there..., user@yourworkstation

I need a second user to be forward oracleX user so I tried this way
, but didn't work. So can any one tell me how could I redirect this
second account? Thanks, I'm a newbie in hp-ux and this will simplify
    my work.

    # Alias for mailer daemon
    MAILER-DAEMON : root
    root : adm@eguros.es
    oracleX : adm@eguros.es

    # RFC 822 requires that every host have a mail address "postmaster"
    postmaster : root

    # Aliases to handle mail to msgs and news
    nobody : /dev/null

    # System Admistration aliases
    operator : root
    uucp : root
    daemon : root

Some one told me that the problem may be the blank spaces betwen
    oracleX : adm@mail.es , but it still doesn't work , any ideas?

Maybe the capital letter is not a smart idea in a user name. Many Mail
transfer agents convert them to lower case. Try adding
    oraclex : adm@mail.es

Don't forget to call newaliases after editing your aliases file.

You can't use varibles for a userid.

    oracle33 : adm@eguros.es
    oracle34 : adm@eguros.es
    etc...

This presumes the oracle ids exist on the server. Mail generated from
the server for oracle33 will be redirected to adm@eguros.es.
