Re: Slow printing - Hewlett Packard
This is a discussion on Re: Slow printing - Hewlett Packard ; Steve,
I know you meantioned that the switch was set to be forced full
duplex and 100Mb/sec, but is the HP3000 set that way in NMMGR LINK
configuration?

Re: Slow printing
Yes, the card is set to forced 100/full in NMMGR. Very frustrating. It's got to be a setting in NMMGR that I'm just missing (or have forgotten afterall these years).

What about the printer? Is it an older half-duplex 10Mbps JetDirect?
Does you network switch match it's port in speed/duplex?

Re: Slow printing
The printers are a mix of LJ2430's, P3005's, LJ4350's. They did not have aproblem until I put the 100 MB card in the 3000. Configured 10/full or 100/full depending on the location.

Re: Slow printing
since it seems that your 3000 is not having any other network issues, I
don't think you need to worry about any mpe network changes.
this is an issue that needs to be resolved by your network people. -
