  1. Yet another help from the HP3000 Gurus!!!

I have Series 979/300 running MPE/iX 7.0. It had 3 internal scsi drives and
yesterday, I built Mod20 Disk array, load all the operating system on the
disk array. I used my backup machine (which is mimic of my production 979/300
machine... everything is exactly same... paths / drives / configuration and
    so on).

Once everything was running on my backup machine, I took the disk array and
moved it to my production machine. I disconnected the internal disk drives,
changed the boot path and started the machine.

It went ok all the way till 'Initialize resident kernel'
upon completion of this I got
SYSTEM ABORT 0 from subsystem 461
    secondary status: info=-48, subsys = 113
    system halt 7, $0000

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

    Greg

  2. Re: Yet another help from the HP3000 Gurus!!!

You need to make sure that the FWSCSI card that LDEV 1 of the MOD20
is attached to has a minimum firmware rev. of 3636. Rev. 3728 would
be better, but 3636 should work fine.

To check the firmware level of your FWSCSI cards, there is a program
FWSCSI available from HP Jazz site. (Google HP3000 FWSCSI JAZZ and ye
    shall find).
