Laserjet 6MP does not print

Hello,

Can anyone help me to find out what the continusly red light "DS1" on
my Laserjet 6MP (C3982A) is telling me?
(On the outside ccover there is something like a flash printed nearby
the lamp; it is the lamp farest behind on the upper left side)

I just installed a new exit roller. When trying to print a test page
the printer starts for about 2 seconds (So mechanically it seems to be
ok). Then the printer stops, showing the red light again.

What could be the failure?
Please help me.

Additional:
I couldnt't any documention on the HP Website, explaining the LED's.
Does anyone know where to find such infomation?
