  1. updating module dependencies unresolved symbol error

    When I boot the kernel, 2.2.6, I am getting several
    unresolved symbol complaints right after the computer
    is updating module dependencies.

    My guess is that they are harmless, but I still want to be
    rid of them.

    What can I do?

    Also I can seem to find these complaints in syslog

    dmesg will show them. No one can read your mind about what they are.

    dmesg does not show them. The messages occur after
    the hard drive has been mounted read writable so they
    should be somewhere I would think.

    Have you examined /var/log/{messages,boot.log}
