Hi All,
Quick question? Are the developers of LM_sensors (gDesklets) still
recommending against using LM_sensors with IBM Thinkpads. The
documentation that I found on the subject is dated... 2003 was the
latest I could find on the subject.
So I was wondering if it is ok to use LM_sensors with a later model
Thinkpad (R51)? Thanks in advance for your help.
Best,

Until I hear otherwise, I won't be using lm_sensors on my Thinkpad 600e. The Linux on Thinkpads site, http://www.linux-thinkpad.org, lists models known to have problems. I wouldn't use lm_sensors on any Thinkpad though, unless someone else confirms it works on specific models.
