Am in the process to move my systems to new Hardware..
moving DELL PowerEdge Server 2850 running RHEL4 with Oracle10g/Apache
to a new Server DELL PowerEdge 2950
I made mondo systems DVD's (Back/Recovery tool) for the PE2850 but am
not able to install it on PE2950
since they have different Model/RAM/RAID/DISK........ and so on

How can i accomplish this mission or do i need to reinstall the server
    from scratch?
need help in this issue, it would be really appreciated.

I'm out on a limb here.

#1 I Mondo rescue recommends going to the commandline to use the
interactive commands so you can skip repartitioning the harddrive.

#2 If Mondo won't cooperate (though it should), I would partition the new
PC with 2 or more volguroups, one for /, another for /home and maybe a
3rd for Apache/Oracle. Then do a clean install. After the new PC has
everything working correctly you use NFS to copy the folders and files
from the old PC to the new PC.

While I have 2 partitions I forgot to backup MySql Db located / before an
upgrade and lost a month of Db records. Now the databases are on the /
    home partition.
