I've been using a software RAID-1 on Linux Suse for a while and migrated to a server with hardware RAID capability. Now I want to switch to hardware RAID.
I'm not sure if my plan is correct:
1. Try to stop and remove the software array:
mdadm --stop /dev/md0
mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sda3 /dev/sdb3
2. Boot the system without the RAID (before change the entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst from md0 to sda3)
3. Set up a hardware array in the RAID controller BIOS

Is it the correct way to do the stuff?
