It depends on your setup (specifically of the setup of your
/etc/syslog.conf). This is basic Unix system administration so I
suggest to postpone BIND installation, learn Unix syslog system and
then come back to BIND. (If you are in a hurry, -g is good but you
cannot use it in production.)
