image display in conformance statement
Hi,
Is there a standard way to understand from a DICOM conformance
statement whether display of a particular DICOM object is supported?
For example, if a PACS vendor's conformance statement lists support
for MR Image storage, MR Spectroscopy storage and MR Raw Data storage
SOP classes, what can one infer about how the application handles
display of these objects? PixelMed's conformance statement overview
clearly states which objects can be stored and viewed. However, other
conformance statements list these same SOP classes, but without
explicit explanation of display support.
Thanks,
Jason

Dear Jason,
You can find out the storage and viewer related informations at dicom
conformance statement "implementation overview" part. It is mandatory
to give this details at dicom conformance statement for any dicom
related products.
In that you can find What are the dicom services are implemented what
are the sop classes and transfer syntax applied in the product.
from dicom services you can get service, role and summary about the
services implemented in that product.
and from sop classes and transfer syntax u can get sop classes its UID
name and Type.
Thanks
