EU's "Nobel prize" for ICT
For the first time the European ICT Prize awards ceremony took place
at CeBIT, the world's largest ICT trade fair in Hannover, Germany.
"Information and communications technology opens up a world of new
possibilities - new ways of working and new ways of living," said
Information Society and Media Commissioner Viviane Reding as she
awarded the prizes.
Atos Origin presents new processing solutions for the health card and
Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin company, will once again participate at
this year's CeBIT in Hanover from 15 to 21 March 2007. Present on
Bitkom Partner’s booth (Hall 9, Booth C52), Atos Worldline will
showcase new solutions and concepts, including its upgraded card
management system for processing the electronic health card, in
association with the integrated security solution in the telematics
infrastructure, along with the use of signature cards in its
electronic invoicing offering "Worldline eInvoice".
ICT Policy Support Programme
The ICT Policy Support Programme (or ICT PSP) aims at stimulating
innovation and competitiveness through the wider uptake and best use
of ICT by citizens, governments and businesses.
The programme builds on the aims of the previous e-TEN, Modinis and e-
Content programmes and will support the aims of the new integrated
strategy i2010 - European Information Society 2010.

(EMEA) will be present at the BIO 2007 Annual International Convention
in Boston (6-9 May 2007). A joint EU Pavilion will highlight Europe's

Counting the cost of Hungary's new eHealth card
Hungary is expecting to launch the public procurement procedures for
the production of its new eHealth card by the end of May 2007. The
production and distribution of 11 million new cards and the
development of a centralised eHealth IT system is expected to cost the
government around €100 million.
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Select Rhapsody Integration Engine
