This year, the VHitG (Association of Manufacturers of IT Solutions for
Health Care) and Messe Düsseldorf will again be organising their joint
forum "MEDICA meet.IT - The Forum" from Wednesday to Friday within
the context of the world's largest medical fair MEDICA in Düsseldorf
(15 until 18 November 2006).
A roadmap towards a European HealthGrid
A major challenge for the coming years is to address the unique ICT
aspects of the life sciences in an integrated way. Life science
research present the need to access, analyse, protect & share massive
quantities of diverse, geographically distributed information,
computationally intensive analysis techniques and rapidly evolving
medicine, science & technology.
Barriers to eHealth deployment must be overcome
At the first World of Health IT Conference and Exhibition in Geneva,

to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing eHealth solutions in
CSW to work with Consortium to specify Finnish National Healthcare
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (Finland) has chosen the
consortium headed by WM-data, to specify the Finnish national
healthcare information system architecture. The consortium includes:
Avain Technologies, Commit; Oy, CSW Group and Medici Data. This
specification work will provide the foundation for a logically
integrated healthcare service information system nationwide.
