Hi,
How can i check weather an image ontains values for center and
width(tag).
If these values are not found ,what will be there default value.
i came across some CT images ,which are 16 bit images but they
does'nt have Center and width tag.
How can i check and validate it ,is there any other tag which gives
me this inormation.

PowerDicom ([url]http://www.dicom-solution.com/powerdicom.sthm[/url]) gives you
information on the header data. You can even write a script that
automatically checks the existance of specific attributes (like Window
Center 0028,1050 and Window Width 0028,1051).
