    Hi All,

    Sorry, i am pretty new to PACS system...apologize if this is a silly
    question.

    1)how many way can i connect to a PACS server? IMS ? NFS, CIFS?

    2)is it a requirement to connect to PACS server using dicom protocol?

    thanks for your reply,

    ok, if that the case...i have a few IMS server( which i assume is using
    Dicom protocol) from a few PACS vendor, each connected to their own
    PACS system.
    i need to consolidate their data into a common storage and making the
    data available to all PACS system.
    any idea if it is possible to use a NAS storage , NFS/CIFS the file
    system to all IMS server which interm connect to a PACS server
