"Multiframe" is just a concept that describes SOP classes that allow to
contain more than one image frame. Most but not all of the multiframe
SOP classes are some kind of "movie", i.e. frames with temporal
relationship. The revised CT/MR SOP classes use the multiframe concept
to store frames with a spatial and/or temporal relationship.

If you want to store a multiframe microscopy, use the Video Microscopic
Image IOD which is a multiframe SOP class. The "VL Microscopy IOD" is
    single frame only.
