Hi,
my problem is:
If I create a file with a german 'äöüß' locally, then share the folder on the same machine with
samba, mount it on the same machine with samba, it will not be properly displayed:

---- Some parte of the smb.conf:
[global]
dos charset = CP850
unix charset = UTF-8

[home]
path = /home
browseable = yes
writable = yes
create mask = 0640
directory mask = 0750
guest ok = no
----

Holy ****! Redirecting the output from the console into a file gives nothing but big crap, so I
copied it manually:
----
mount
//localhost/home on /mnt/localhost/home type smbfs (rw)

touch /home/christoph/utf8-test/local-äöüß
touch /mnt/localhost/home/christoph/utf8-test/smbfs-äöüß
ls /home/christoph/utf8-test/

local-äöüß smbfs-├ñ├Â├╝├ƒ

ls /mnt/localhost/home/christoph/utf8-test/

local-???? smbfs-äöüß

What's wrong here?

Thanks, Christoph
