  1. Bug#502298: Installer hangs when disk full

    Package: debian-installer
    Version: unknown

When installing debian to a 1GB USB key using http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEeePC/H...cardOrUsbStick , a lack of space on the disk caused the installer to go into a near-perpetual loop, with no option for aborting or otherwise recovering

    Details (transcribed, may contain errors):

    Oct 15 11:39:31 in-target Error writing to output file lenny/main openoffice.org-gnome 1:2.4.1-9

This message is repeated contiuously. Some method of stopping the installation is requested. As a new debian user, I was expecting individual package customisation, and as such did not worry about oversize installs until too late.

    Thanks.
