That works on installed systems, but last time I tried this in D-I it
didn't work. Has that changed with recent busybox versions?

It did work for me while I was figuring out the right command-line to
put in the bug report.

Cool. Must have changed with the last busybox release then. before that it
did not work for either ifconfig or ip.
