  1. Bug#485509: virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.25-2-686: Please rebuild for use with Virtualbox-ose 1.6.2

    Package: virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.25-2-686
    Version: 2.6.25+1.5.6-dfsg-1
    Severity: important

Before starting a virtual machine Virtualbox checks the version of the vboxdrv module.

The current version of Virtualbox in unstable is 1.6.2, but the module provided in this package is for version 1.5.6. The version mismatch results in an error message (see below) and Virtualbox fails to start the virtual machine.

    Error message from Virtualbox:

The VirtualBox support driver which is running is from a different version of VirtualBox. You can correct this by stopping all running instances of VirtualBox and reinstalling the software..
    VBox status code: -1912 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_VERSION_MISMATCH).
