    no, it doesn't. first, it's 2.6.25-2 which is of interests (thouhg it's
    no difference to 2.6.25-1 wrt/ vbox), second build with lme, not m-a.

    I'm sorry if the version number is confusing. 2.6.25-1 is what
    debian/changelog says in the linux-modules-extra source package. I am
    using the 2.6.25-2 kernel.
    I did an apt-get source and build-deps linux-modules-extra-2.6 and then
    (newlines added for clarity):

    % cat virtualbox-ose/defines
    [base]
    arches: i386 amd64
    desc: PC virtualization solution
    longdesc:
    VirtualBox is a free PC virtualization solution allowing you to run a wide
    range of PC operating systems on your system.

    % rm debian/control*

    % debian/rules debian/control &>/dev/null

    % dpkg-buildpackage &> build.log

    % sudo dpkg -i ../virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.25-2-amd64_2.6.25+1.5.6-dfsg-1_amd64.deb

    And I can use VirtualBox normally.

    I just tried the same with a debcheckout and worked as well.
