  1. Bug#464023: bug in installer

I tried to install Debian Lenny from DVDs of the days 10 march 2008
    and 17 march 2008.

In the question: Scan another CD or DVD? My answer was "not".

The install process stop after the installation of the basic system. A
    message is displayed:

    "Insert the CD 1 ...........".

But the DVD 1 already is in the drive and I can"t eject it.

    I typed "ALT+F2" and I typed "umount /cdrom", I think. Then, I could
    eject the CD.

When I put the CDROM, the system recognizes the CD and the install
    process continued.

I tried to install using the language "PortuguÍs do Brasil"(pt_BR)

    When seeing:
    "Insert the CD 1 ...........".
does hitting the ENTER key, continue the installation?
(so no "umount", no "eject", just ENTER )

    Processing commands for control@bugs.debian.org:

    > retitle 464023 d-i: Message displayed 'Insert CD 1'

    Bug#464023: Debian(Lenny) installer stuck.
Changed Bug title to `d-i: Message displayed 'Insert CD 1'' from `Debian(Lenny) installer stuck.'.
(By the way, that Bug is currently marked as done.)

No. When I press ENTER the window with the question (Insert the CD 1
....) appears again. I tried press ENTER many times, but it did not
    work.

And which version are/were you using?

    Gilberto,

You did good work with finding bug #464023 as being the same issue as
    you have.

Did you see at http://bugs.debian.org/464023 that the bug is merged
    with #470423?

From http://bugs.debian.org/470423 I understand that the issue reported
    as fixed on March 22nd.

Is the version you are using from a build date after March 22nd?

    Cheers

    > Is the version you are using from a build date after March 22nd?

    Hello,

I downloaded the lastest version, weekly-builds, April 2nd. The
    checksum matched.

But, the message is displayed, yet. "Insert the CD 1 ..."

I tried press ENTER, but nothing happened and the message continued.

I had to open a terminal and I typed "umount /cdrom" and after "eject".

After, I inserted the DVD again, the installation process continued normally.

Should I get the DVD image from lenny_di_beta1? The image was created
    in march 17th.

    Bye

Nope. The software bug that you are encountering
is also present in that build.

In the Debian Bug Tracking System is bugreport created for
the "Insert the CD 1 ..." issue.

As can be seen from the headers and the language used, this was a private
message from me to Geert which he's apparently decided to forward to a
public mailing list without asking my permission.

It will be obvious that I'm not happy with that.
