Bug#428614: bug still present in trunk (2.6.24~rc6-1~experimental.1~snapshot.10007)
I tried linux-image-2.6.24-rc6-amd64 (version
2.6.24~rc6-1~experimental.1~snapshot.10007) from trunk, but I still
experience this bug:
$ ls -altrF /sys/bus/i2c/devices/
total 0
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 0 2008-01-02 21:05 ../
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 2008-01-02 21:05 ./

Does this still occur with the current Lenny kernel? If so, could
you please file a bugreport at bugzilla.kernel.org?
Cheers,
