  2. [PATCH] cancellable apt-setup with progress display

I've tested and fixed up yesterday's patch. I think this works rather
    well, just a few issues:

    * debconf-apt-progress only advances the bar 15% while downloading,
    I'll de-hardcode that later.
    * 50mirror validates a mirror and then adds a deb-src line at the end.
The progress bar for downloading/validating that line isn't allowed to
advance since it's already advanced all the way.
    * Needs svn debconf, which I won't upload for at least another 4 days,
since Frans's patch needs unstable debconf to propigate testing.
    * It's too much fun to try farflung mirrors, cancel, and change to
another one. Works entirely too well. ;-)

Or upload with medium prio? Unless new changes are somewhat experimental of
    course.

Also, I want to wait for apt 0.7.9 (2 days old; + reverse dependencies) to
migrate too as that fixes 2 minor bugs in apt-cdrom Otavio responded very
quickly too which means that I can remove 2 ugly workarounds from my new
    code.
So I expect debconf to have plenty of time...

I plan to commit my patches tomorrow after a bit more testing, upload pkgsel
at once and upload di-utils and apt-setup after apt/debconf migrate.

Dann have not merged his changes, it would be nice to commit his
pkgsel changes before you upload it.

    Dann?

I've just started an upload of new versions of the images.
These have the fix for the apt-setup-verify bug Joey noticed yesterday. They
also include the version of apt from unstable which fixes two issues in
apt-cdrom which allowed me to include a cleaned up version of my patches.

  7. Re: Support for using multiple CDs during installation implemented

After a long wait, it was finally possible to upload apt-setup two weeks
ago, so installation using multiple CDs is now possible with current weekly
images. As has been discussed before, this is especially important for
installations in languages other than English in countries with relatively
    low speed Internet connections.

I have just committed a few final changes, mostly to make the dialog that
asks whether to use a mirror more correct when using CD or DVD sets.
Comments on the string changes are welcome.

The plan is to give translators some time to catch up with the string
changes and then to upload apt-setup in time for Beta1.

Currently the following situations are recognized:
    - businesscard CD: mirror is used automatically, no prompt
    - netinst CD: user is asked at medium priority with default true
    - full CD
    - only installation CD scanned: high priority with default true
    - 2/3 CDs scanned: high priority with default true; modified prompt
    - 4-8 CDs scanned: high priority with default false; modified prompt
    - >8 CDs scanned: only asked at low priority with default false
    - DVD
    - only installation DVD scanned: high priority with default false
    - >1 DVDs scanned: only asked at low priority with default false

Note that there is no check which CDs/DVDs have been scanned. So if a user
scans the first and then CDs 5-8 (but not 2-4), he's out of luck.

There is one TODO item left: to recognize multi-arch, kde and xfce CDs as
not being part of a set. This will require a change in debian-cd, but is on
    my TODO list.

    Cheers,
    FJP
