Thread: KNode Version 0.10.1 dies on multipart/signed messages.

  1. KNode Version 0.10.1 dies on multipart/signed messages.

    I read my mailing lists using knode and a mail2news gateway, however since
    upgrading to KDE 3.5 knode dies when tying to open multipart/signed messages.

    Some investigation shows that the mail2news gateway truncates the
    Content-Type: header to just one line eg

    from

    Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1;
    protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="BXVAT5kNtrzKuDFl"

    to

    Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1;

    Whilst I agree that there is a problem with my mail2news scripting, I am
    rather surprised that knode and kontact exits with a Signal 11 failure as all
    previous versions of knode have coped with this header error.

    Should I expect knode to be benign to these type of errors?

    Regards

    Bob

    What's you gateway? I am not sure whether it happens to me as well, because
    I haven't probably met any multipart message lately (actually, I haven't
    met almost any message in my mail2news gateway, because bogofilter went
    beserek and deleted most of my messages -- any other candidates for
    spamfilter?). Here it is patch on leafnode from Nikita V. Youshchenko.
