It seems there is a BIG problem with current pear support inside Debian.
Does anyone know why it did that? Is there any fix or alternative (and
maybe unofficial) package available for Sarge for php? It seems it began
to appear those last 7 days, at least I'm sure it was not there before
the 1st of September. To me, it seems the problem is there because pear
upgraded to 1.4.0, which was 2 days ago (on the 18th).
It has been reported here:
that we have to do a upgrade-all. The only problem is that it segfault,
as shown above.
Not having a good pear support can be a real problem for me. I don't
want to waste my time recompiling php... Any idea?
The following happened on both my and an Italian friend server.
k1999:~# apt-get install php4-pear
