Hi,

I'm trying to find an inexpensive piece of kit that I can plug into RJ45
ports in the office and it indicates if the port is inactive, a phone or
network.

I have googled and found that Fluke do something that can do this but also
does additional things and has a price tag to match. I've also seen similar
from other companies.

I'm just looking for something basic so that I can check multiple ports
without running up and down stairs to the comms room.

Does anybody know of such a device? any info would be a great help.
