I'm currently revising for an exam in September, and the following
question has appeared on the last 2 versions of the exam:
Quote:
Briefly describe the difference in the demands placed upon a
network by a low quality video-phone application, and a high quality
video-on-demand service.
The question is worth 10 marks.
My thinking is that the viedo-phone will create the greatest demand on
the network, because the video-phone is interactive and the video-on-demand
is not. Therefore, the video-phone cannot have a large buffer, and latency
could be a problem.
Is this right? Would anyone care to give any thoughts?
Thanks.
