Difference between package-1.0 and package-1.0p0
Hi, I'm installing some packages, but I don't understand what does p...
implicates.
For examples, there are different packages for Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6:
mozilla-firefox-1.0.6.tgz
mozilla-firefox-1.0.6p0.tgz
mozilla-firefox-1.0.6p3.tgz
What is the difference?

pN is used when a package is updated but software version remains the
same. for example packaging fixes, security patches etc.
use the newest version available.
