  1. AIX disk space

i need help, it seems that one of the Aix volumes is full, and since i
am begginer in UNIX. could anyone help me. i did a df -k on the system
and this is what i get:

Filesystem 1024-blocks Free %Used Iused %Iused Mounted on
    /dev/hd4 65536 0 100% 1903 12% /
    /dev/hd2 1638400 386068 77% 27747 7% /usr
    /dev/hd9var 524288 400616 24% 1333 2% /var
    /dev/hd3 524288 468552 11% 381 1% /tmp
    /dev/hd1 65536 62656 5% 178 2% /home
    /proc - - - - - /proc
    /dev/hd10opt 65536 55904 15% 367 3% /opt
    /dev/udthome 1048576 368364 65% 17634 7% /usr/udthome
    /dev/ud 32768000 2260320 94% 101975 5% /ud

also i keep getting that there is no space left:
    # df -k
ksh: No space left on device

please tell me what can i do to resolve this issue.
    thanks

  3. Re: AIX disk space

    # find / -xdev -type file -ls | sort +rn6 | head

Then do research on each of the larger
files, and find out what you need to do to
    trim/truncate them.

    Hope that Helps,
    Casey
