xlf runtimes sometimes came with the "Expansion" CDs,
but I don't think these were available as early as 4.3.
But ISTR having an original XLF 7.1 runtime package floating around
    somewhere on the shelf ...

Sorry for late reply. Yes, xlf rte v4 came with the OS media (I'm almost
certain) and I got v5 with Catia.

My problem involves re-installing an old version of I-deas CAD software
on AIX 4 and the level of xlf rte requitred is v7. I had the software
installed on AIX 5.1 previously and I have the correct xlf rte for that
OS. A conflict has forced me to install the CAD software onto a
different machine and the only one I have available is running AIX 4.3
and I can't upgrade the OS.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Cheers,

not quite, I believe. The OP was looking for xlf, not xlc.
But this one might be it:

    ftp://ftp.boulder.ibm.com/rs6000/web/solutions/plm/

apart from that I indeed have located the runtime CD on a forgotten shelf ...

BTW, on the same server, in
    ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/products/cset/
there are historical releases of Cset.
Unfortunately one would need a license key to run them, I guess ?

Correct, sorry ... seeing xlf 11, 10 and 9 I just copied the link
pointing to 7, not really reading the filename.

And these too, for other versions ...

only fixes AFAICS, not the base fileset.

    Try
    http://www.ashe.de/AIX/xlfv7r11.tar

    Its only the runtime.
