  1. Error chaning MAX LP's in a LV

    Hi,

I'm trying to increase the size of an LV, but before I can do this I
need to increase the 'MAXIMUM NUMBER of LOGICAL PARTITIONS'.

The LV currentley has 128 LP's, and 128 maximum number of LP's.

This is an HACMP cluster, so I'm using the CSPOC menus to change the
LV. This is the message I get when I attempt to increase the maximum
number of LP's to 256 (so I can increase the LV size).

has anyone got any ideas? Do I have a bug.

    Cheers,

    J.

    -u Upperbound
Sets the maximum number of physical volumes for new
    allocation.
The value of the Upperbound variable should be between one
    and the
total number of physical volumes. When using super
    strictness, the
upper bound indicates the maximum number of physical
    volumes
allowed for each mirror copy. When using striped logical
    volumes,
the upper bound must be multiple of Stripe_width.
