I am trying to boot from a 5.1 install cdrom on a p690 lpar but the
install hangs at "closing stdin and stdout"

I am guessing it is looking for the console elsewhere? I m using a
virtual console via web SM.

Things I have tried:
* waiting for an hour
* Installing from 5.3 media works fine.
* I have tried pressing '1' to define the console and esc-1 but
nothing happens.
* No LED codes, lpar state is "running"
* I have mounted the 5.1 cdrom on a 5.3 lpar and it mounts OK and I
can read the contents, so the cdrom itself is seems fine.
* I have tried toggling "small real mode address region" for memory
settings in the lpar profile, but no change. Note that the welcome
screen shows less RAM than is allocated to the lpar for some reason.


Any ideas?
