The new version of Pan that comes with Mandriva 2008 is giving me serious
rendering issues with binaries. It's the old problem of not showing the
entire image in the preview pane for some images while others appear just
fine. Doesn't seem to be related to the size of the image or whether yenc
is involved or not, nor is it isolated to any one binaries group. I
haven't had this problem in years with Pan and I'm surprised this new
version is so poor. I'm wondering if un-installing this version (0.132)
and installing 0.125 which I was using in Mandriva 2007.1 would work?
Then I'm wondering if this is some weirdness due to having the Compiz 3D
effects running. Suggestions are welcome.
