I had originally bought the Antec 350, but I took the oportunity to give
that to my dad when his PS crapped out too. I noticed that the fan in the
500 runs at least three times the RPMs of the 350. That 350 moved so little
air that you could barely feel it. As a result of installing the 500, I
noticed that it keeps my system at about 5 degrees Celcius lower than the
350 did.
It seeems kind of ironic that the PS that pulls the most juice actually
keeps the system cooler. lol
