It depends entirely on what you're doing with the v490.

T5x00 series will be a good replacement if it's a Java Application
Server or other general purpose app server.

M4000 is a likely candidate for direct replacement, but there's also the
rumored Ikkaku platform:

Official product name for Ikkaku is not yet finalized.
Ikkaku is a 2U, single CPU version of SPARC Enterprise
M-series (sun4u) server utilizing the SPARC64-VII
(Jupiter) processor.

which may be more suitable, particularly if you're a single threaded app
or a database-like substance.
